Shared values and trust matter more than individual brilliance.
Roamless is a borderless telecom operator transforming how people stay connected globally, and four RC friends are at its heart: Emre Demirel RC 01 is the CEO, Ali Gazioğlu RC 01 is the COO, Asım Alp RC 99 is the CTO, Selim Aykut RC 01 is the Head of Support.
How did Roamless come about?
Ali and Asım had expertise in building and operating telecommunications networks. Emre had extensive investment experience and a passion for travel. He had long felt the frustration of unreliable mobile connectivity abroad and recognized the rising opportunity in eSIM technology. Selim was focused on business design and customer experience. The four of us attended a crypto conference together —just for fun. That trip sparked serious conversations about building something meaningful. We combined our complementary skills and perspectives, and Roamless was born.
What do you recommend to entrepreneurial RC students?
Solve problems you deeply understand. The best ideas often come from personal frustration or domain expertise, just like Emre’s travel pain points combined with Ali and Asım’s telco background.
Build a strong, complementary team. Shared values and trust matter more than individual brilliance.
Start before you feel ready. We didn’t wait for perfect conditions. We began with conversations and momentum built from there.
Embrace iteration and resilience. Be ready to learn fast, fail forward, and stay obsessed with your customers.
Stay intellectually curious. Critical thinking is a superpower in entrepreneurship.
How does your common RC background help your work?
RC instilled in all of us a habit of questioning everything and a strong framework for rational thinking. Beyond that, our shared background creates deep trust.
